Who is Uwe Wagner
Uwe Wagner is a German stock exchange trader who has been working in this field for over thirty years. He studied economics in Berlin and Vienna from 1987 to 1991 and during this time worked as a broker’s assistant at the stock exchanges in Berlin, Vienna and Madrid. In 1991, Mr. Wagner joined Deutsche Bank AG, completed training in options trading in Chicago and worked as an options market maker in Frankfurt am Main. In 1995, he was delegated to Deutsche Bank S.A. in Madrid, where he built up the bank’s futures and options trading division, which he was responsible for until 1997. He was responsible for this until 1997. In 1998, Wagner returned to Frankfurt and took over the bank’s trading book for DAX futures in the DB Advisor division. Parallel to his professional activities, he was elected chairman of the Association for Technical Analysts (VTAD) and held this position for two years. In 2003, Wagner left Deutsche Bank and founded his own trading company, from which he resigned in 2006 to take over the training of derivatives traders at Deutsche Börse AG. Since 2012, Wagner has been trading the FDAX (future on the German stock index DAX), among others for various family offices.
Wagner has published three textbooks on futures trading, as well as various articles in the press. Since 1998, he has also published a daily market commentary on stock market events. In 2004, he was named “Trader of the Year”.
